Suzette S. Lin

Suzette S. Lin has a distinctive interdisciplinary background, spanning corporate law, nonprofit advocacy, and community engagement. As the founder of Substantia Law Group, she advised entrepreneurs and startups in Silicon Valley and Greater China. Earlier, she practiced at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto and served as general counsel for two companies in Beijing. For decades, she has volunteered and led nonprofit boards in the US and China, including Disability Rights California, the Mental Health Association for Chinese Communities (California), and Chinese Association for NGO (Beijing). She has held fellowships at the Ash Center for Democracy at Harvard University and the Health Consortium at UC Law SF. Suzette is currently pursuing a graduate degree in counseling psychology, focusing on contemplative therapeutic approaches. She holds a JD from the University of San Francisco School of Law, an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School, and a master’s in international public affairs with distinction from the University of Hong Kong.
